A quieter kind of physical therapy.
Thrive Body & Mind is a solo practice built on a stubborn idea: what if PT looked less like an assembly line and more like real healthcare?

Dr. Kelsi Antonsen Chang PT, DPT
Dr. Chang spent a decade in the Seattle tech industry before deciding to make the pivot to pursue the career she had always secretly wanted: Helping people move through injuries and set backs with Physical Therapy. Five years later, she earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Western Michigan University. She went right to work in outpatient therapy settings- treating everything from ankle sprains, to pelvic floor dysfunction, neurological disorders, and post surgery. She quickly learned what PT often looked like: a shared gym floor, patients rotating from clinician to clinician, and clinicians who were booked back to back with no room for follow up with their patients. It worked...sort of. But something important kept slipping through the cracks: the patient.
So she opened the clinic she wanted to work in. One patient at a time. One full hour. The same therapist — her — from your first visit to your last. Stepping outside the insurance model is what makes it possible to prioritize direct patient care instead of billing codes and productivity quotas. You get the care you deserve; not just the offered treatments and therapists that your insurance covers.
Dr. Chang is a licensed physical therapist in Washington state and holds an extra license that allows her to perform dry needling treatment. She is also certified in post concussion rehab through Complete Concussion Management- which teaches research backed approaches to guide concussion recovery. She has a special love for treating post concussion syndrome, whiplash, headaches, and general cervical dysfunction.
